Salesforce Data Migration Test Engineer

We are seeking a detail-oriented Salesforce Data Migration Test Engineer with 3+ years of experience in QA/testing and hands-on Salesforce data migration projects. The role will focus on ensuring data accuracy, completeness, integrity, and reconciliation during large-scale migrations from legacy systems or other CRM platforms into Salesforce. The ideal candidate should have strong knowledge of the Salesforce data model, data validation techniques, ETL-based migrations, SOQL/SQL, and Salesforce security and sharing models. Key Responsibilities • Design and execute test strategies and test cases for Salesforce data migration activities. • Validate data loads into Salesforce using ETL tools and migration utilities. • Perform source-to-target data mapping validation and reconciliation. • Conduct record count, field-level, transformation rule, and referential integrity validations. • Validate migrated data across Sales Cloud and Service Cloud objects such as Accounts, Contacts, Opportunities, and Cases. • Test data deduplication, cleansing, normalization, and enrichment rules. • Perform pre- and post-migration validation and reconciliation. • Execute regression testing after data migration. • Validate Salesforce security, sharing rules, roles, and data access. • Log and track defects using JIRA/Azure DevOps. • Support mock migrations, dry runs, cutover rehearsals, and production go-live validation. • Prepare test summary reports and sign-off documentation. • Collaborate with Business Analysts, Salesforce Administrators, developers, and ETL teams. Required Skills & Qualifications • 3+ years of QA/testing experience with hands-on Salesforce data migration projects. • Strong understanding of Salesforce data models and standard Sales Cloud and Service Cloud objects. • Experience with Informatica, MuleSoft, Talend, Data Loader, or custom migration scripts. • Strong knowledge of data quality and reconciliation techniques. • Ability to write SOQL queries and basic SQL for backend validation. • Experience testing data transformations, lookups, and relationships. • Knowledge of duplicate management and data cleansing. • Familiarity with Salesforce security, roles, and sharing rules. • Experience working in Agile or hybrid delivery environments. • Strong documentation and communication skills. Good to Have • Salesforce Administrator or related certifications. • Experience with large CRM transformation programs. • Knowledge of data governance and compliance standards. • Python or SQL scripting for data validation automation. • Experience with reconciliation dashboards and reporting tools.
